Meet Steen Gabs Pedersen, new Director of Service Sales Commissioning & Competence Center

Steen Pedersen is a “green professional” and an experienced man in the wind industry, having 12 years of experience from Siemens Gamesa. With his passion for service sales and project management and comprehensive strengths in the wind industry, Steen is now continuing his journey at ENABL as our new director for Service Sales & Competence Center.

12-years solid background from Siemens Gamesa

With MBA and Electrical Engineering degrees, he worked at Siemens Gamesa in various positions.

“One of my highlights from that working period was working as a Project Director. I was responsible for implementing the production line globally with the whole value chain, including the training part and the transfer of technology,” Steen says.

In fact, he is not only technically skilled but also has a talent for project and competence management and for taking a leading role in the transfer of technology. He became the Director of PMO & Competence Management in SGRE and kept this position for several years.

“Project Management and traveling are my passions. I traveled worldwide with Siemens. I was in China, Brazil, the US, and many other countries, where I gained various experiences professionally but also culturally. What’s more, I realized that efficient project management and competence management are the core values to success,” Steen says.

Challenging and exciting adventure at ENABL

Steen joined ENABL in 2021 as a Director of PMO. After 11 months, he was appointed Director of Service Sales Commissioning & Competence Center.

Steen says: “I love the challenges and the fast-growing wind industry. After one month of being in my new position, I saw the opportunity to strengthen our competence management framework even more by enrolling:

  • Technical support 24/7
  • Knowledge transfer – core competencies from the field
  • Improved digital solutions on-site – remote handling (globally)
  • Training and education of employees to the expected level

Steen focuses on Quality – Customer Satisfaction with Competence Management. He thinks, on the one hand, that it’s crucial to ensure that customers are fully satisfied and that ENABL needs to fulfill the whole stream. On the other hand, it is sensible to keep the knowledge in the system and to always ensure high-end quality for our customers.

“Knowledge comes and goes, so we need to manage and ensure that our employees have the right competencies and skills for all daily challenges. We also want to provide even more e-learning and digital solutions to provide fast and cost-effective support for our customers. Providing enough and specific training for the employees and, in the end, our customers are meaningful so that we can provide service effectively and globally.”
