On February 15, Maria Rodriguez Herrán, the Structural Engineer from Spain reaches a milestone at ENABL.

Back in 2013, Maria was studying Mechanical Engineering at VIA University College as an exchange student from Spain. After one year, she finished her life as a student in Denmark and continued to finish her main studies in Spain as an Industrial engineer.

During Christmas time in the same year, her previous teacher at VIA, who was also a consultant at Eltronic A/S by that time, reached out to her and asked if she would like to join Eltronic A/S. Maria was very happy about the opportunity and after she graduated, she immediately took the offer and started as a structural engineer at Eltronic A/S.

From Eltronic to Eltronic Wind Solution and then ENABL, Maria had smooth transitions. She has had the same title as a structural engineer until today but had chances to try various new tasks.

A typical working day for Maria would be making calculations and verifying the strength of structures that our engineers built, including lifting yokes, traverse systems, production rotators, or any other potential equipment. She is definitely the key guard for our engineers’ teamwork. However, her experiences are more than just calculating. During her journey at ENABL, Maria had the opportunity to switch between departments and functions, from supporting project managers to tender managers, she is very happy that she had the chance to learn and build new skills.

“It’s a big achievement for me to stay at ENABL for 10 years. Even though there are ups and downs when things change, I still love my job and the people.” Says Maria, “I like to do what I am doing today, but I can also imagine myself transitioning to other tiles at ENABL in the future.”

Not so long ago, her imagination was no longer just an imagination. Maria had a chance to talk to our Service Manager and got an offer to move to the Service department as an Operation Manager. She immediately took the offer and now is on transition to the new position.

“It is a big challenge for me since I’m new to the roles and tasks, but it already looks like a lot of fun and I’m sure I will like it. Thanks to ENABL, I have this opportunity to challenge myself even more.” Says Maria with a smile.
