ENABL and Century Huaxin Wind Energy enter major deal

ENABL A/S has entered into an agreement worth in euro, a double-digit million range with Century Huaxin Wind Energy, Taichung, Taiwan. The contract comprises the delivery of production equipment for the next generation of offshore wind turbine towers.

The production equipment can produce towers up to 10 meters in diameter with section weights of up to 400 tonnes. Century Huaxin Wind Energy has purchased three production lines, where ENABL will supply all the production equipment, from the steel plate is bended, until the tower is ready for surface treatment.

“We are thrilled for the order, which we see as a seal of approval for our company and our technology. We can handle orders of this size thanks to being part of ENABL. (Blaaholm A/S became part of ENABL A/S in 2021’s merger). We are present locally in Taiwan and can support with installation and service, both online and with a physical presence. This is the second project we have supplied to Taiwan, and we were chosen due to our track record of offshore wind turbine towers,” explains Torben Blaaholm.

Century Huaxin Wind Energy get state-of-the-art equipment
Century Huaxin Wind Energy is building a whole new manufacturing plant to produce offshore wind turbine towers. The company is getting efficient state-of-the-art equipment, and has purchased the full set-up, including an automated welding portal with four weld heads. Robot technology is part of the project, so there is a substantial amount of automation involved.

“The machines will be a combination of already familiar equipment and newly-developed hardware produced in Europe. Installation are scheduled for Q2 2022, with commissioning planned in the of summer 2022,” says Torben Blaaholm.

Major recruitment because of growth
ENABL sees a significant growth in all business areas on a global scale. To meet this growth, the company is hiring skilled people globally.

“We are recruiting heavily, and demand for human resources will continue for the next few years. We are heavily focused on the development of our products to retain our market position. This, together with coming projects, means that we will be strongly represented in Tower & Monopile in the coming years,” says Torben Blaaholm.
