Why work in wind? Three ENABL collagues share their motivations

ENABL

What makes people choose a career in wind and renewables?

To answer this question, we have asked our colleagues at ENABL to share what inspires them in their daily work.

Though based in different parts of our organization, Rikke Kölbel Møller (Project Manager), Jonas Støttrup Marciniak (Advanced Structural Engineer), and Banupriya Balan (Senior Engineer), share a common inspiration for being in renewables. That is to support the green transition and enable customers’ success.

Helping customers lower their footprint

As a Project Manager, Rikke helps keep ENABL projects on track from start to finish by managing requirements, testing, and deliveries end to end, minimising risk and supporting efficient operations. Her drive for being in the industry is closely tied to the success of our customers and their impact on the planet

“It motivates me that with our equipment and support at ENABL, we help customers lower their footprint and help secure a more sustainable future for our children and future generations,” Rikke says.

At our Indian office in Chennai, Banupriya is inspired by a similar purpose. As a Senior Engineer, her role often revolves around ensuring smooth project execution, ultimately reducing rework and helping renewable projects to go into operation faster,

“I was inspired to join the wind industry because it allows me to contribute to a cleaner future. I mainly see the impact of my work through smoother project execution, fewer issues at site, and improved delivery quality. When risks are addressed early and modules align on time, customers experience more reliable installations,” she explains.

From concept to workshop to installation

While Jonas, who works as an Advanced Structural Engineer within Traverse systems, is also motivated by the broader purpose of renewables, he is equally drawn to the engineering complexity and the challenge of developing solutions that have never been built before – and doing it together.

“The products we make aren’t on the market yet. We have to build the newest, strongest, and biggest. Solving complex issues with colleagues is definitely a motivating factor for me,” he says.

Jonas also values the practical side of the process. He finds it rewarding to see a solution move from the design phase to something that exists in the real world.

“You can go down to the workshop and see what we created, moving from concept work into reality. It’s also special when I see on LinkedIn that our customers have completed a project and you can see our equipment in the background” he adds.

A shared sense of pride

Rikke, too, feels proud when she sees our solutions go from design to finished equipment, especially given the scale wind turbine components have reached in recent years. A level of scale that also places demands on ENABL’s equipment and capabilities.

“The current technology development requires specialized equipment of an equal calibre. It makes me proud to see that the equipment we at ENABL have designed and manufactured from scratch is used for these projects,” Rikke says.

Banupriya recognises that same sense of pride in her own work:

“Working in the wind industry means that the work I do has a direct impact on reducing carbon emissions, accelerating the green transition, and enabling cleaner energy for future generations. Being part of this mission gives me both pride and a strong sense of responsibility to deliver high-quality results,” she adds.

From planning and delivery to engineering and execution, Rikke, Jonas, and Banupriya each represent the different roles behind the solutions ENABL is known for, and the shared commitment to supporting the green transition.
