Wind company ENABL A/S has appointed Maja Nielsen as Global HR Director, who will also be joining ENABL’s management team. Maja Nielsen has both a Master of Science in HR Management and an MBA. In her last two positions, she had the responsibility for global HR departments, and she comes from a job as Senior Vice President HR at Nordic Aviation Capital.
“I have chosen ENABL because the company is on an exciting journey with four enterprises, which recently merged. It’s a challenging change project, and I’m looking forward to be a part of the process as we make this transformation. At ENABL, we support wind turbines throughout the entire world, and to be part of a green transition is another plus,” explains Maja Nielsen.
Thomas Hedegaard, CEO at ENABL, has this to say about the appointment:
“We need to attract the most skilled employees in the industry so we can support our global clients as a common partner for consulting, equipment, and service. With Maja Nielsen’s competencies, we lift our HR to the required level for us to achieve the growth journey we are on. The HR team needs to ensure the development of our employees’ competencies while also retaining the skilled employees we already have. ENABL must be an even more attractive place to work, and this is where Maja has a crucial role.”
Maja Nielsen will work together with the HR team to find the right candidates for ENABL.
“Our current +600 employees are not sufficient for the demand we experience from our customers. We’re looking into getting several major projects, and we may need to widen our search overseas to find the right candidates. In general, it’s hard to find a qualified workforce, and we need to recruit highly sought-after, specialized engineers,” Maja Nielsen explains.
She will be the direct manager of the HR team in Denmark and has professional responsibilities in Ukraine, Bulgaria, India, UK, US, Taiwan and China. Here, Maja Nielsen will contribute among other things to the implementation of global processes and professional sparring with the HR team.
“It’s interesting to work in a global set-up with the diversity that comes with it. To work together with different cultures and get HR processes up and running on a global scale is an exciting challenge.”
Privately, ENABL’s HR director is married and has two sons aged 16 and 18. The family lives near Aarhus. In her free time, Maja Nielsen enjoys being active with cycling, running and adventure racing.
