Blade Rack

The innovative and safe blade racks from ENABL are used to transport blades from the port to the installation site.

Our newly developed blade rack can accommodate blades for five wind turbines simultaneously, instead of the normal three.

The blades are lifted from the rack onto the turbine using a crane. Thanks to an innovative mechanism, the blades are both easier and faster to mount and dismount in the blade rack.

Your Benefits

Time-saving feature

Quick to mount and dismount the blade on the blade rack.

Greater safety

Less lifting and no risk of accident with this solution.

Adjustable mechanism

When attaching the root end of the blade.

New technology

Five wind turbines at once, instead of the normal three.

New Technology

An innovative mechanism makes the blades easier and faster to mount and dismount in the blade rack.

This new feature increases safety, as there is less lifting and no risk of accident with this solution.

Another newly developed and time-saving feature of the blade rack is a built-in service platform that is established as part of the structure.

Optimized Capacity

“It has been incredibly exciting to join GE in the development of the world’s largest blade rack for the world’s largest Jack-up ship, which will transport the world’s largest blades to the world’s largest wind farm.

It must be the biggest! There are many innovative solutions in the blade rack that allow us to move away from the traditional tip-end frames, which require handling during installation.”

Optimized Capacity

ENABL has developed a blade rack for transporting the world’s longest blades, and it is designed with completely new technology.

The newly developed blade rack is a large steel structure measuring 25–26 m in height, 36 m wide, 77 m long and weighing over 500 tons.

The blade rack from ENABL can accommodate blades for five wind turbines simultaneously, instead of the normal three.

New Technology: Solution for Transporting the World’s Largest Offshore Wind Turbine Blades

Under the specifications given by GE Renewable Energy, ENABL has developed an innovative solution for transporting the world’s largest offshore wind turbine blades of 107 meters on the world’s largest installation vessel.

The blade rack is designed with completely new technology to meet the requirements of GE Renewable Energy.
