Production Equipment
Blade Machining
Consistent blade root machining reduces variation
and helps maintain production takt time.
Fast and precise
blade root machining
Increase blade root throughput while ensuring a precise and consistent assembly interface.
Automated machining reduces variation, minimizes the risk of rework, and supports efficient production.
Our blade machining equipment covers drilling, milling, root-end machining, and surface processing.
Benefits
Precision and reliability
Ensures consistent blade root geometry and accurate hole placement on every blade.
Increased productivity
Automates time-consuming manual operations, enabling faster cycle times and higher throughput.
Improving assembly quality
Creates a uniform and controlled connection surface between blade and hub, improving assembly quality and reducing fit-up issues.

Insert milling machine
Two 5-axis milling units simultaneously mills the insert
zones at the blade root to a defined depth and flatness.
The insert milling machine removes excess material around
each insert area and ensures the surface is even across the
full circumference.
Technical specifications
Flatness ≤ 0.5 mm
Ensures a very even surface on the blade root for proper fit-up against the hub.
Adaptive scanning
Scans the root shape before machining, compensating for molding variations.
Automatic centering
Aligns the machine automatically, reducing positioning errors.
Blade root BCD range (0–6000 mm)
Covers a wide range of blade sizes, allowing use across different platforms.
Milling depth (0–1 mm)
Removes material in controlled steps and avoids damaging the composite.
Drilling milling machine
The machine combines drilling and milling in one setup to
ensure precise hole positioning and a consistent root end surface.
This reduces processing time and improves alignment,
supporting a faster and more reliable assembly process.
Technical specifications
Maximum axial hole depth (350 mm)
Drills deep holes into the blade root, allowing full engagement with thick composite sections.
Hole diameter (up to Ø50 mm axial, Ø80 mm radial)
Covers typical bolt hole sizes.
Flatness after grinding ≤0.2 mm
Delivers precise end surface, improving fit and load transfer during assembly.
Maximum cutting thickness (100 mm)
Removes large amounts of material in one pass, reducing machining time.
Automatic programs with adjustable parameters
Allows operators to preset positions, speeds and movements. This ensures consistent results across blades.

Root-end Machining
The technology prepares the root end of blade planks by machining
the required profile and geometry. The system handles a range of plank dimensions and provides consistent processing before the next
production step.

Surface Processing
By combining multiple surface processing operations in a single workstation, the system reduces handling between production steps and supports a more streamlined production flow.
